California notary service, while you wait.
Sai Print has a commissioned California notary public on site for acknowledgments, jurats, oaths and affirmations, and other notarial acts. Bring a valid photo ID and your unsigned document, and make sure every signer is present.
Notarial acts we perform
Acknowledgments
For deeds, grant deeds, deeds of trust, powers of attorney and most recorded documents. The signer must personally appear and be identified, and acknowledges that they signed willingly.
Jurats
For affidavits and sworn statements. The signer swears or affirms that the contents are true and signs in front of the notary.
Oaths & affirmations
Administered on their own, for example when someone is being sworn in or is giving a statement.
Certified copies
A California notary may certify a copy of a power of attorney, and may certify copies of the notary’s own journal entries on request.
What to bring
- The complete document — unsigned. Do not sign it until the notary tells you to.
- A current, government-issued photo ID: a driver’s license, state ID, U.S. passport, or another ID allowed under California law.
- Every person who needs to sign, present in person at the same time.
- Any witnesses the document itself requires (Sai Print does not provide witnesses).
If a signer cannot be positively identified and has no acceptable ID, California allows identification by one or two credible witnesses who personally know the signer — ask us about the requirements before your visit.
Notary fees
California sets the maximum fee a notary public may charge for each notarial act. Through 2026 that maximum is $15 per signature for an acknowledgment or jurat; under a 2026 law it rises to $20 beginning in 2027. Sai Print charges within the state maximum — ask for the current amount when you visit.
There is no charge to have a document reviewed if it turns out no notarization is possible, for example if a signer has no acceptable identification.
What a notary cannot do
- Tell you which notarial act your document needs, or what type of document to use
- Give legal advice or explain the legal effect of what you are signing
- Notarize a document for someone who is not present, or who does not appear to understand what they are signing
- Notarize a document that is incomplete or has blank spaces
- Prepare immigration forms or advertise as a “notario”
Loan documents and large signings
We can notarize signatures in a loan or escrow package at the counter. If you have a full loan-signing appointment or need a specific number of notarized signatures, let us know in advance so time can be set aside.
